Four cards of the same rank. Four Aces is the strongest one and the iconic combination of Poker.
It is the formed by three cards of the same rank plus two cards of the same rank. In other words, a three of a kind and a pair together.
Five cards of the same suit, in no particular order or sequence.
Five cards of any suit forming a sequential rank.
Three cards of the same rank, plus two other cards not forming any combination of value.
Two cards of the same rank (a pair) plus two other cards of the same rank. The fifth, unpaired card would determine the winner in the event of a tie, where two (or more) two pairs have the same values.
A pair is a hand where two cards have the same rank and the remaining three cards do not fall into any other rated combination.
When your hand is not made of any valued combination you will have a no-hand. If all players have a no-hand, then the player with the highest card wins the pot.
